Target Organizations
For regulated facilities making a demonstrated effort to comply with environmental regulations For organizations making an ongoing effort towards improving their environmental footprint by finding ways to prevent pollution and to conserve natural resources For organizations willing to develop and maintain an environmental management system (EMS) that is consistent with the ISO 14001 standard For organizations with a fully implemented environmental management system (EMS) For partnerships and collaborations, or regulated facilities that have completed a project that resulted in measurable improvements to the environment
Minimum Requirements
No environmental violations discovered during the past 3 years and while a member Demonstrate past improvements in at least 1 of the following areas; and commit to measure continued improvement in the same or an additional area each year

1. Demonstrate past improvements in at least 1 of the areas listed under Silver; and commit to measure continued improvement in the same or an additional area each year

2. Commit to develop an environmental management system (EMS) that is consistent with the ISO 14001 standard within 3 years

2. Provide a discussion on any enforcement action initiated against the facility and how the violation was resolved

3. Self-certification by senior manager at the facility that no violations were discovered during the previous year, to maintain Superior Compliance History designation

1. Report on progress made on commitments

2. Report on progress towards developing and/or maintaining an EMS

3. Quantify success achieved in the implementation of environmental initiatives implemented

1. A summary of the facility's EMS assessment activities and progress towards meeting EMS objectives and targets, including brief descriptions of audits conducted and improvements made

3. A summary of the facility's public outreach activities

4. Quantify success achieved in the implementation of environmental initiatives implemented

5. Provide a discussion on any enforcement action initiated against the facility and how the violation was resolved
