ADEQ Officials Announce $7,500 Brownfields Grant to Town of Somerton to Survey Downtown Property for Redevelopment
Arizona Department of Environmental Quality officials announced today that a $7,500 grant has been awarded to the Town of Somerton for a Phase I environmental site assessment of a tire repair shop that the town wants to acquire and redevelop as part of a downtown beautification project.

Arizona Department of Environmental Quality officials announced today that a $56,000 grant has been awarded to the Town of Parker for the cleanup of small quantities of asbestos in three town buildings which the town wants to bring in compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act requirements.

ADEQ Partnering with Verde Valley Municipalities in Grease to Biofuel Drive on Friday After Thanksgiving
Arizona Department of Environmental Quality officials announced today that the agency is partnering with Verde Valley officials to encourage residents of Cottonwood, Camp Verde, Sedona and surrounding areas to dispose of Thanksgiving turkey grease at local collection sites rather than clogging drains and creating wastewater treatment plant blockages.

23 Companies to Pay Total of $542,000 to Resolve Hazardous Waste Dump Claims in Tucson's Pantano Wash From 1945 until Early 1970s
The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality and Arizona Attorney General's Office announced today that they have reached settlements with 23 companies to pay a total of $542,000 to resolve hazardous waste dumping claims in the area of Tucson's Broadway Pantano Landfill from 1945 through the early 1970s.
