The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality is issuing its third ozone High Pollution Advisory (HPA) of the year for Wednesday, Aug. 21
The HPA is being issued because ozone levels are already near the exceedance level of the health standard and an expected shift of wind flow to from the east and northeast may trap ozone concentrations in the central and western part of the Phoenix metropolitan area.

ADEQ Announces Free Electronics Waste Recycling Event on Aug. 31 at Navajo County Penrod Facility in Show Low
Arizona Department of Environmental Quality officials announced today that their fifth annual Free Electronic Waste Recycling Event for the White Mountains region will be held Saturday, Aug. 31 in the parking lot of the Navajo County Penrod Facility in Show Low, 251 N. Penrod Rd., from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.
