The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality is issuing a High Pollution Advisory (HPA) for Wednesday in the Phoenix metropolitan area for Particulate Matter-10.
The HPA is being issued because a powerful cold front from the northwest is expected to bring a lengthy period of strong and gusty winds to the area along with a very high potential for significant amounts of blowing dust.

BTZ, Inc. of Yuma Agrees to Pay $40,000 Settlement For Not Maintaining Air Quality Control Device
Arizona Department of Environmental Quality officials announced today that BTZ, Inc. has agreed to pay a $40,000 penalty for not properly maintaining the air pollution control device at its Yuma plant.

ADEQ Officials Announce Issuance of Air Quality Permit for Proposed American West Potash Mine Near Holbrook
Arizona Department of Environmental Quality officials announced today that an air quality permit has been issued to American West Potash, the first permit to be issued for a large, proposed potash mining operation 30 miles southeast of Holbrook in Navajo County.
