ADEQ Director Owens and Attorney General Goddard Announce $10,000 Penalty Against Granite Express, LLC for Air Quality Violations at its Phoenix Facility
PHOENIX: Arizona Department of Environmental Quality Director Steve Owens and Attorney General Terry Goddard announced today that Granite Express, LLC will pay $10,000 under a consent judgment with ADEQ for air quality violations at the company's facility at 7th Street and Happy Valley in Phoenix, including failure to control dust emissions.

ADEQ Director Owens Reminds High School Seniors of February 6 Deadline to Apply for Recycling Scholarships
PHOENIX: Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) Director Steve Owens is reminding students, teachers and parents that Friday, Feb. 6, is the deadline for Arizona high school seniors to apply for ADEQ's Arizona Recycling Scholarship Program, which provides scholarship funds for seniors interested in environmental issues.

ADEQ Issues Permit to City of Page for Expanded Wastewater Treatment Plant
PHOENIX: Arizona Department of Environmental Quality Director Steve Owens announced today that ADEQ has issued a permit amendment for the City of Page to increase the amount of treated wastewater from its wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) that is reclaimed for irrigation.
