Freeport-McMoRan Sierrita Inc. to Pay $105,000 For Air Quality Violations in Pima County
The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality and Arizona Attorney General's Office announced today that Freeport-McMoRan Sierrita Inc. will pay $105,000 to the state under a consent judgment with ADEQ for air quality violations in Pima County.

ADEQ Issues High Pollution Advisory for Particulate Matter for Thursday, March 26
The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality has issued a High Pollution Advisory (HPA) for Thursday, March 26 for the Phoenix metropolitan area because of forecast weather conditions that are expected to be conducive to unhealthy levels of fine Particulate Matter 10 (PM10) microns and smaller.

ADEQ and EPA Issue Permits for Carbon Sequestration Injection Project Beneath APS Power Plant In Joseph City
The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency have issued permits authorizing the West Coast Regional Carbon Sequestration Partnership (WESTCARB) to inject 2,000 tons of carbon dioxide into an underground saline formation in Joseph City, west of Holbrook.

Automation Plating to Pay $100,000 in Civil Penalties for Hazardous Waste Violations in Tucson
Automation Plating, a California based electroplating company in Tucson, has agreed to pay a $100,000 civil penalty for hazardous waste violations in the latest settlement resulting from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality's "Plating Initiative."

ADEQ Announces Grants for 29 Arizona Little League Programs for Recycling Containers, Banners
