Valley Experiences Fewer Ozone Health Warnings in 2009
PHOENIX: Valley residents breathed a little easier this summer as ozone pollution caused fewer public health warnings than during the same period in 2008. Lower temperatures in June, introduction of the light rail, and increased use of other public transportation are believed to have helped generate the good result.

High Pollution Advisory: Effective Wednesday, September 30th
The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality is issuing a High Pollution Advisory (HPA) on Wednesday, Sept. 30 for Particulate Matter 10 (PM10) microns and smaller. This HPA is being issued due to gusty winds expected in the metro Phoenix area.

ADEQ Issues Permits for Parts of 3 Uranium Mines in Northern Arizona Area Near Grand Canyon
