ADEQ Plans Water Quality Testing Event for Phoenix Students on Verde River as part of Earth Month Activities
Arizona Department of Environmental Quality officials announced today that the agency will sponsor a water quality testing event for 60 Phoenix students at Riverfront Park on the Verde River in Cottonwood from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 27 as part of ADEQ's statewide activities conducted during Earth Month.

The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality and Arizona Attorney General's Office announced today that Clin-Path Diagnostics, LLC of Tempe will pay a $70,000 penalty as part of a consent judgment entered in Maricopa County Superior Court for hazardous waste violations at its Tempe facility.

Fisher Sand & Gravel and Subsidiary to Pay $312,000 for Air and Water Quality Violations throughout State from 2006 until 2010
The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality and Arizona Attorney General's Office announced today that Fisher Sand & Gravel (FSG) and its subsidiary, Southwest Asphalt, will pay a settlement totaling $312,000 under a consent judgment with ADEQ for air quality and water quality violations that occurred in six counties.

The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality and Arizona Attorney General's Office announced today that Cross Spear Marble, Inc. has agreed to pay an $80,000 penalty to settle air quality violations at its limestone mining, crushing and screening facility near Chiricahua National Monument in Cochise County.
