ADEQ Announces Free Electronics Waste Recycling Event at Flagstaff Mall Parking Lot in East Flagstaff on Sept. 8
Arizona Department of Environmental Quality officials announced today that the Third Annual Flagstaff Free Electronics Waste Recycling Event will be held Saturday, Sept. 8 from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the northwest parking lot of Flagstaff Mall, 4650 N. Highway 89. Paper documents for later shredding also will be accepted at the event.

Arizona Department of Environmental Quality officials announced today that a free electronics waste recycling event for Winslow and the surrounding northeastern Arizona region will be held Saturday, Sept. 8 from 8 a.m. until noon in the parking lot of Walmart in Winslow, 700 Mikes Pike Blvd.

Arizona Department of Environmental Quality officials announced today that they will have a free electronics waste recycling event on the Hopi Nation in the Village of Kykotsmovi at Old AmeriGas Propane Yard, located on the corner of Highway 264 and Route 2, on Saturday, Sept. 8 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

ADEQ Issues an Ozone High Pollution Advisory (HPA) for Thursday, Aug. 9
The HPA is being issued because of some of the highest ozone readings of the season on Tuesday coupled with continuing very high temperatures and bright sunshine. An expected return of wind flow from the east on Thursday through Saturday is expected to lock in high ozone levels in the Valley.

The HPA is being issued because ozone levels are already to the mid-to-upper part of the moderate category and light-wind circulation flows from the east and northeast on Tuesday are expected to lock ozone in the Valley. Highest concentrations are expected in the central and west parts of the Valley.
