Arizona and Utah Announce Fish Consumption Advisory for Mercury in Southern Lake Powell
The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality, in association with other environmental, health and wildlife agencies for both Arizona and Utah, has issued a fish consumption advisory recommending that people limit consumption of striped bass caught in the southern portion of Lake Powell, from Dangling Rope Marina in Utah to Glen Canyon Dam in Arizona.

ADEQ Announces Free Electronics Waste Recycling Events for Navajo Nation at Tuba City, Kayenta on Saturday, Oct. 27
Arizona Department of Environmental Quality officials announced today that they will sponsor two free electronic waste recycling events on the Navajo Nation in the communities of Kayenta and Tuba City on Saturday, Oct. 27 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. The Kayenta event will be held at the old concrete yard of Kayenta Township on Transfer Station Road and the Tuba City event will be at To’Nanees’Dizi Chapter House, 220 Main Street.

ADEQ Files Notice of Intent to Sue EPA for Failing to Act Timely on State's 2011 Regional Haze Implementation Plan
Arizona Department of Environmental Quality officials announced today that they intend to file suit against the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for failure to take timely action on the State's implementation plan for regional haze and for splitting the decision on Arizona's state-wide plan into two parts.
