ADEQ Issues Second Ozone High Pollution Advisory of the year for Friday, June 28
|
The HPA is being issued because sunshine, light winds and temperatures of 116 to 118 degrees create ideal ground-ozone creation conditions. Winds are expected to shift to from the south and southeast because of high pressure in the Four Corners area and smoke moving eastward from a large fire in southern New Mexico could cause more ozone formation in the Valley.

Compliance Order Issued to Bellemont Water Company to Resolve Drinking Water Issues, Public Notice Violations

Arizona Department of Environmental Quality officials announced today that a compliance order has been issued to Bellemont Water Company in Coconino County for a number of violations at its public water system.

ADEQ Announces Completion of Project, 1,347 Pounds of Outdated Chemicals Removed from Three Nogales Schools
|
Arizona Department of Environmental Quality officials announced today that a chemical cleanout project has been completed in Nogales at Nogales High School, Desert Shadows Middle School and Challenger Elementary School and that 1,347 pounds of outdated chemicals were removed from the three schools.

ADEQ Encourages Governments, Non-Profits to Apply for Brownfields Funding by end of Fiscal Year, June 30

The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality is encouraging cities, towns, counties, other governmental entities and non-profit groups around the state to submit applications and proposals for more than $100,000 in brownfields funding by June 30, the end of the fiscal year.
