ADEQ Announces Electronics Waste Recycling Event will be held Saturday, April 12 at Town of Payson Multi-Event Center
PHOENIX (March 31, 2014) – Arizona Department of Environmental Quality officials announced today that the Fifth Annual Payson Free Electronics Waste Recycling Event will be held Saturday morning, April 12 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Town of Payson Multi-Event Center, 1400 S. Beeline Highway.

Eagar First in State to Complete Work on ADEQ’s Small Communities Compliance Assistance Plan
PHOENIX (March 28, 2014) -- Arizona Department of Environmental Quality officials announced today that the Town of Eagar in Apache County has become the first municipality in the state to complete a Small Communities Environmental Protection Plan (SCEPP) to help communities comply with state and federal environmental regulations.

ADEQ Officials Announce $6,500 Brownfields Grant to Gila County Historical Society for Asbestos Survey
PHOENIX (March 20, 2014) – A $6,500 Brownfields grant has been awarded to the Gila County Historical Society of Globe to determine if there is asbestos and lead-based paint in a portion of the Gila County Historical Museum, Arizona Department of Environmental Quality officials announced today.

Arizona Lowers Vehicle Emissions Inspection Fees for More Than a Million Motorists Starting July 1, 2014
PHOENIX (March 14, 2014) – Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) officials announced today that they will be lowering Vehicle Emissions Inspection fees by more than 25 percent – from $27.75 to $20 – for Phoenix metropolitan area residents who have 1981 and newer cars and light duty trucks. More than one million vehicles are tested in the Maricopa County area each year. Drivers in the Tucson area already pay less.

ADEQ Officials Announce Dlubak Glass Co. to Pay $120,000 for Cathode Ray Tube Recycling Violations at Yuma Facility
PHOENIX (March 7, 2014) – Arizona Department of Environmental Quality officials announced today that Dlubak Glass Co., Inc. has agreed to pay $120,000 in a consent judgment approved in Maricopa County Superior Court for hazardous waste violations in the storage and recycling of cathode ray tube (CRT) glass at its Yuma facility.
