ADEQ Lifts Fish Consumption Advisory for Gila River and Tributaries |
PHOENIX (September 30, 2015) – The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) announced today that it has lifted the consumption advisory for fish caught in the Gila River and its tributaries within and downstream of the Phoenix metropolitan area – this includes 100 miles of streams and 286 acres of lakes. Fish caught from these waters are no longer unsafe to eat due to banned pesticides (DDT, chlordane or toxaphene).

ADEQ Hosts First Free Environmental Resources Roadshow in Prescott |
PHOENIX (September 23, 2015) – Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) and partners, Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) Adopt a Highway Volunteer Programs and Keep Arizona Beautiful (KAZB), will conduct an “Environmental Resources Roadshow” in Yavapai County on Wed., Oct. 7, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Prescott Police Department Training Room, 222 S. Marina St., Prescott, Yavapai County.

ADEQ Launches E-Waste Recycling Event Toolkit to Kick Off Pollution Prevention (P2) Week |
PHOENIX (September 21, 2015) – Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) officials announced today the agency’s launch of the online ADEQ E-Waste Recycling Event Toolkit (E-waste Toolkit), which includes best practices, marketing materials, contacts, and other educational materials to continue to support and expand Arizona cities’ and town’s efforts to properly recycle their electronic waste now and in the future. ADEQ Announces New Search Feature for Public Records |
PHOENIX (September 17, 2015) – The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) announced today it now has available through its website an online search engine allowing faster, more direct access to the agency’s 19 environmental databases containing information such as a facility’s operating permits and compliance history.
