Plan to Reduce Greenhouse Gas Pollution Presented to Governor |
PHOENIX: Gov. Janet Napolitano today received the recommendations for the design of a regional market-based cap and trade program for the Western Climate Initiative (WCI). The WCI is a collaboration among seven Western U.S. States, including Arizona, and four Canadian provinces to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the western United States and Canada. PHOENIX: On Monday a plane carrying U.S. International Boundary and Water Commission Chairman Carlos Marin, his Mexican counterpart Arturo Herrera, Rio Grande Council of Governments Executive Director Jake Brisbin, Jr. and pilot Matt Juneau was reported missing. ADEQ Seeks Applications for Grants to Improve Conditions of Watersheds in Rural Arizona |
PHOENIX: Arizona Department of Environmental Quality Director Steve Owens announced today that ADEQ is accepting applications to allocate $800,000 to develop Watershed Improvement Plans (WIPs) for three targeted watersheds in the state of Arizona.
